Acupuncture involves the insertion of tiny filiform needles into specific points on the body to increase energy flow and circulation. Upon insertion, the Acupuncturist manipulates the needles to stimulate the flow of energy to different areas of the body, promoting healing and improving overall circulation. In an acupuncture session, the therapist may use other techniques that they have been trained in such as moxibustion, tui na, cupping and gua sha.

Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic) Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture is a treatment where many tiny filiform needles are inserted into lines and discolorations on the face, as well as regular acupuncture needles being inserted into major facial acupuncture points. During a cosmetic acupuncture treatment, clients will first receive a cleansing and rejuvenating green clay and herbal facial mask. Once the mask is removed, the face is cleansed with a green tea detoxifying and antibacterial gauze and then the facial needles are inserted. While the facial needles are in, the acupuncturist then chooses appropriate body acupuncture points to improve overall health and a sense of wellbeing. Once the needles are removed, the practitioner will apply a facial cream and perform a facial massage to improve circulation and promote relaxation. The entire session lasts 75-90 minutes, depending on the number of needles required.

Cosmetic acupuncture can treat puffiness around the eyes, improve facial muscle elasticity, reduce dark circles under the eyes, reduce or eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, reduce sagging jowls, skin becomes more delicate and fair, collagen production increases, age spots fade, acne, rosacea and broken capillaries are reduced, skin tone improves, pores tighten, lifts drooping eyelids, and the whole body feels energized, relaxed, and balanced.

Your therapist will discuss an appropriate treatment plan that works for you. Generally speaking, ten treatments are needed to obtain optimal lasting results, although it varies from 5 to about 12 sessions depending on the quality of the skin and the desired result. It is recommended that the first four to six treatments are done twice per week to ensure that the treatment lasts. Once the course of treatments is completed, it is recommended that clients repeat the session every four to six weeks for maintenance.

What to Expect
Your Acupuncturist is required to perform a detailed intake as well as prepare a diagnosis in Eastern Medical terms as well as a treatment plan for the course of treatments. Based on the treatment plan, your acupuncturist will choose acupuncture points and with consent there may be the use of a combination of modalities including moxibustion, cupping, gua sha and tui na massage or shiatsu. Your acupuncturist may require you to disrobe partially or fully, and use a draping technique sheets and blankets. Your privacy will always be respected, and you may withdraw your consent for treatment at any time.

What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a branch of the health sciences which focuses upon the body’s neuromusculoskeletal system. A chiropractor is concerned with how your body’s skeletal and nervous system is functioning. Since your spine is the key highway for your central nervous system, a chiropractor is trained to use a variety of diagnostic methods to examine and treat your spine and bone structure.

Although the major focus of chiropractic is on the spine and central nervous system, your chiropractor is concerned with the wellness of your whole body. Since your nervous system determines how well you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally, many problems you are experiencing may be related to a problem with your spine and nervous system.

The Chiropractic Philosophy
Chiropractors believe in whole body wellness. Wellness means many things to different people. To your chiropractor, wellness is the state of health where your body is free of interruption or interference to any part of your nervous system, enabling you full expression and enjoyment of life. Chiropractic care works to ensure that your nervous system is working fine, and this enhances your well being.

Your chiropractor will discover any problems that are interfering with your nervous system and through hands-on-healing will work with you to eliminate them. After chiropractic care your body will be better able to heal itself. This, in turn, aids your body in maintaining optimum health and contributes to your overall wellness. Chiropractors believe in a holistic approach to health and healing, and have spearheaded this powerful health care trend in North America. (Ontario Chiropractic Association)

Functional Medicine
What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engages both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. It is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.

Functional medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
How is Functional Medicine Different?
Functional medicine involves understanding the origins, prevention, and treatment of complex, chronic disease. Hallmarks of a functional medicine approach include:

Patient-centered care. The focus of functional medicine is on patient-centered care, promoting health as a positive vitality, beyond just the absence of disease. By listening to the patient and learning his or her story, the practitioner brings the patient into the discovery process and tailors treatments that address the individual’s unique needs.

An integrative, science-based healthcare approach. Functional medicine practitioners look “upstream” to consider the complex web of interactions in the patient’s history, physiology, and lifestyle that can lead to illness. The unique genetic makeup of each patient is considered, along with both internal (mind, body, and spirit) and external (physical and social environment) factors that affect total functioning.

Integrating best medical practices. Functional medicine integrates traditional Western medical practices with what is sometimes considered “alternative” or “integrative” medicine, creating a focus on prevention through nutrition, diet, and exercise; use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques; and prescribed combinations of drugs and/or botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, or stress-management techniques.

Homeopathy is a holistic, gentle, natural health science that is based on various laws and phenomena observed in nature. It was founded in 1796 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician who during his career as a medical doctor, came to understand that every illness originates in the emotional, spiritual sphere which eventually manifests itself through the signs and symptoms in the physical body. With this knowledge, he founded a healing system “Homeopathy” based on the principle of “like cures like” – Homeo means ‘similar’ and pathos means ‘suffering’. He experimented on himself with various remedies available in nature and extensively recorded the results. In these experiments, he learnt that the drug substances that gave rise to certain symptoms in the human body, cured the same symptoms when administered to a patient in super diluted potentized forms. This is the principle of “like cures like”. He put together a detailed database of Homeopathic principles, theories, practices and remedial solutions based on these experiments. This forms the basis of Homeopathic treatment principles and are used extensively in our practice to provide the highest standard of Homeopathic treatment.
Homeopathic approach ensures that every aspect of your health is studied, understood and addressed to achieve your optimum level of wellness.

It can be preventative or restorative, helping to maintain, rehabilitate, augment physical function or relieve pain.

Massage therapy has firmly established its role as a clinically-oriented health option used to relieve a variety of discomforts because it achieves undeniable results.

Massage can help alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with everyday stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes.

If employed early enough after accidents involving trauma and injury, massage therapy can greatly reduce the development of painful muscular patterning.

I am a conventionally-trained physician with a spiritual and holistic view of what it means to be healthy. I believe in the power of the body to heal itself, when given the right conditions. I believe that illness is a sign of imbalance and should be treated by addressing all of the many factors that play a role in its development- spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical.

I love working with people and facilitating this healing process. It requires looking at the physical body- what nutrients, vitamins, minerals, hormones it may benefit from to restore it to a state of balance; the lifestyle factors that are creating the environment in which the body exists in on a daily basis; and the emotional/mental factors that create an energy frequency that the body bathes in on a constant basis. All areas need to be optimized in order to create true health!

I have worked in women’s health for many years, helping to restore hormonal balance with bio-identical hormones and functional medicine. I have seen how bio-identical hormones have completely transformed the lives of many women. I have also seen how huge a role stress plays in health and well-being; I have come to believe that the way in which we respond to stress and how long we allow unhealthy stress responses to go on for, determines how many “interventions” (vitamins, supplements, hormones, etc) are required to keep us feeling well. The most efficient way to maximize our wellness and vitality is by addressing our stress and how we respond to it. In most cases, stress management is better than any supplement or hormone I can recommend!

I am trained as a family doctor, and have done extensive training in bio-identical hormones, and metabolic and nutritional medicine. I am a experienced ThetaHealer, Psych-K practitioner, and Emotion Code practitioner. I am a student of Kabbalah for over 10 years. I am in love with continually deepening my connection to the universal energy of the Creator (as I like to call it) and my higher self, and yearn to be an inspiration to others who find themselves craving to heal at this deep level and rediscover their own inner power.

I feel honoured to be able to work in this creative capacity with my patients, and am grateful to the divine for all of the life experiences I have had that have lead me down this path. I look forward to sharing more of my experiences and insights with you as I learn and grow more!

I Seek Holistic Chiropractic Knowledge and Experience

I graduated in 1996 with a passion to learn from the greatest holistic and traditional chiropractors.

My first 15 years as a holistic chiropractor were focused on honing my clinical skills–from techniques to diagnostics. I saw hundreds of thousands of patients during this time, leaving each one happier, healthier, and pain-free.

The next phase of growth came from shifting my focus to myself. I delved deep into self-discovery–taking workshops in meditation, source resonance, reiki, and other healing modalities. My biggest shift came after I was certified in ADD/ADHD. The brain became my obsession. After all, chiropractors directly interact with and improve parts of the body that affect brain function the most, such as the spine. During this cognitive evolution of mine, I focused on becoming an amazing chiropractic doctor. This was my Scott 1.0 phase.

I awaken to the energy Within me and around me. Through my personal challenges, I started to seek ways to keep myself calm, discover who I was, and ask bigger questions.

This led me to become Scott 2.0.

This awakening began in 2016. It was an inward journey that led me to where I am now.

Some of my biggest shifts in thinking occurred after being introduced to Dr. Joe Dispenza. His workshops combine the understanding of Quantum Physics with the wisdom of meditation. During 2017 I studied Quantum Physics with Resonance Academy and dove deeper into Dr. Joe’s methods through his advanced courses.

Since then, meditation became a part of my morning routine. This daily meditation practice, discovering quantum energy and setting the intention to expand me brought Scott 2.0 into reality.

I am Scott 2.0

Ann has spent the last 16 years filling her RMT Toolbox. Having worked with a diverse range of patients and conditions, her passion became helping patients to understand the WHY behind their symptoms. Getting to the root cause of your health concerns has driven her passion for continued education. Eventually, her practise led her to a clinical focus in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Ann is Vodder Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage – internationally recognized as the gold standard for this modality. Everything in our bodies depends on circulation and its partner the lymphatic system. We don’t heal without a functioning lymph system. When the lymph system changes, your health can change dramatically. Differing from traditional massage, Ann had discovered the treatment she describes (in unscientific terms) as “magical”. The treatment eases your nervous system into calmness and is one of the most relaxing experiences available. A short list of conditions where the common link is lymphatic congestion includes, but is not limited to, headaches, digestive difficulties, swelling in legs or hands, recent injuries and/or surgeries.

Ann’s secondary focus is Postural Strength and Correction. Modern life has a major impact on our alignment but we can learn to get it back. Learning to stand tall and powerful can not only change your health and well being, but also how you are perceived by others. Posture is also at the core of many muscle and body pain issues. Our bodies work better and feel better with good posture. You are a strong and confident person, your posture should convey that. Each year she advances her training in posture and exercise as there is always something new to learn and apply to your needs. Ann’s love for what she does is inspired not only by helping you to understand the cause of your symptoms but most importantly, what YOU can do to make a positive impact in your own life.

Infrared Sauna Far infrared is part of the spectrum of light. The Relax sauna emits the highest level of pure far infrared energy of any sauna on the market. This energy increases circulation, activates mitochondrial energy production and releases heavy metals that are stored in the body’s fat cells. It burns calories too!

Far infrared therapy is one of the biggest breakthroughs in the health industry. Far infrared can improve blood pressure, speed healing and improve circulation. The best thing about Far Infrared Light is that it teaches us how to heal ourselves with little more than heat and light. Far infrared energy increases the core temperature of the body, mobilizing the lymphatic system to remove heavy metals and toxins.

The effects of far infrared go far beyond heat. Heating is good for the body especially in ridding infection and the beneficial effects of saunas are well known, but by using a far infrared sauna you get the added benefits of increased energy production by cells, increasing collagen and elastin production by the skin, increased circulation, burn calories and fat, increase muscle relaxation, speed injury recovery, boost metabolism, and the detoxifying release of heavy metals stored in the body’s fat cells.

Research has shown the benefits to speed healing, reducing muscle soreness and long term healing from using a far infrared sauna.

Far infrared is valuable not only for healing or improved health, but for athletes as well. Far infrared improves circulation and loosens muscles. Here are some of the ways athletes are using far infrared:

• Before activity to loosen up tendons and muscles and aid in preventing injury.

• To increase circulation to injured joints and muscles, therefore speeding recovery

•To release nitric oxide in muscles to increase energy
